Laoag City Bridge (Laoag City)

We tried to catch up with the sunset in Currimao but weren’t able to. But it was lovely to capture a nearing sunset in the Laoag Bridge. =)

Bantay Abot Cave and Blue Lagoon (Pagudpud)

Before heading back to Saud Beach for lunch, we went to Bantay Abot Cave and Blue Lagoon. It’s so windy in Bantay Abot Cave and you had to be more careful going there because the rocks are slippery probably because of the moss. It’s actually our last stop then we had lunch with the Pagudpud National High School’s principal.

San Anton Falls and Ruins of Bagong Lipunan Lodge (Pagudpud)

Moving on, we reached San Anton Falls. First thing to do is taste the natural drinking water of the falls. Being in this place again reminds me the travels with my family when I was still a kid going to Isabela from Ilocos. We would stop here, trek the falls and I swim with just my undies on. Haha. The water is to cold and so refreshing! We weren’t contented just to stare at the old lodging house at cliff of the mountain so even if there’s a sign of “no entry”, we still entered it hahaha. Damn! A lawbreaker!

Agua Grande Picnic Park (Pagudpud)

Next stop, Agua Paradiso. There are large rocks here as well as falls which meets the sea and it is where the strongest waves of Pagudpud beach are. We took picture at the signage of the place and when it’s Tita Normin’s turn, Virma told her there’s a cobra. In shock, Tita Normin was startled so she stood up immediately unknowingly that the cobra is a statue. Haha

Patapat Viaduct (Pagudpud)

On the following day, we are supposed to go to Adams but unfortunately the other driver for our motorcycle ride wasn’t able to catch up with the designated time. We went to the northern part of Pagudpud instead. So, let’s move on to our fifth stop, Patapat Viaduct, which was constructed at the time of our former President Marcos. It’s a bridge connecting Ilocos and Cagayan.

Saud Municipal Beach Resort (Pagudpud)

We had lunch in Pagudpud then proceeded to the Municipal Beach Resort in Saud for a fresher breathe. We were too excited to dip in the water but ooooops! We waited for sunset to avoid the fire heat of the sun which surely could burn our skin. The beach could wait so with us. My friend’s boyfriend came and we watched the sunset before swimming. We had a very delicious dinner cooked by Mark, Tita Normin’s son. After dinner is the much awaited heart-to-heart talk. I had a couple of San Mig Light Beer but Virma didn’t even have a sip of it. Haha. We’re at the shore and the wind is a little bit strong and we loved so much how our hairs dance with it.

Bangui Windmills (Bangui)

It’s past 12 and we’re all hungry but still we had a bit stop in Bangui Windmill. I’m dreaming of climbing it but I think only the engineers who oversee the maintenance of the windmills are allowed to go up there as the management is concerned with the security of the tourists.

Kapurpurawan Rock Formation (Burgos)

Tita Normin finally arrived and we went to Kapurpurawan Rock Formation and its astoundingly hot, men! We endured the heat of the sun just to take a closer view of the rock formation and experience taking pictures with its amazing view. We learned from the attendant that it was already bought by the provincial government. Climbing the frontal area of the rock formation is no longer allowed since there are some idiot tourists who vandal on its walls. So we went at the back of the rock formation to take pictures.

Cape Bojeador (Burgos)

Virma, my childhood friend whom I haven’t seen for almost a decade tagged along when I went home after my second semester in first year in the College of Law. It’s March and yeah! Its summer time =). Our first stop, Cape Bojedor, the tallest and one of the oldest lighthouse in the Philippines which is still functioning and sending signals to sea farers in the South China Sea. While waiting for Tita Normin, my mom’s friend, we took the advantage of time taking lots of pictures and going up to the lighthouse and oh it’s cool. It made us burn some fats. Haha. It feels better breathing fresh air while atop the lighthouse.
